What we offer:

FORTEX GG geogrids are high-strength materials developed for unidirectional or bidirectional geogrid requirements for various applications of civil engineering. The material is manufactured by weaving polyester micro yarns in the rectangular form and coating the same with PVC. High performance rating is assured by virtue of the seaming method specifically designed for more robust nodules.
FORTEX GG unidirectional geogrids are latticed type geogrids with significantly higher tensile stress in one direction when compared to the tensile stress in the other direction.
FORTEX GG bidirectional geogrids are latticed type geogrids with equal tensile stress in the manufacturing direction and directions perpendicular to the manufacturing direction.

FORTEX GG unidirectional geogrids can be used for applications such as slope stabilization and reinforced retaining structure systems ( ) where unidirectional strength is required.
The fields of use, in general, for the reinforced retaining structure systems ( ), which feature swift and economic application possibility, reliable earthquake response, flexible structure, resistance against subsidence and also an aesthetic appearance, are:
- Dual carriageway expansion works,
- Approach walls of flyover junctions,
- Sites for expropriation,
- Works intended for gaining space,
- Bridge abutment walls,
- Bridge elevation walls, and
- Walls of parks and gardens.
FORTEX GG bidirectional geogrids are high strength geogrids specifically developed for utilization at the fields set forth below for stabilization purposes where bidirectional strength is required. In general, these geogrids are used for;
- Providing higher bearing capacity for the runway, apron and taxiway foundations at the airports,
- Preventing local subsidence in applications at highways to be performed on poor bearing soil by reducing the quantity of foundation and sub base backfill,
- Backfilling works for highway expansion projects,
- Soil improvement works intended for reducing the quantities of ballast and ballast under layer in order to prevent potential subsidence at railway applications to be performed on poor bearing soil,
- Improving the load bearing capacity and preventing local subsidence for the foundations against the heavy loads at the foundations of container storage yards and industrial structures.
FORTEX GG unidirectional geogrids are durable, serviceable, reliable and cost-efficient and are resistant to seismic and dynamic loads.
When backfill or granular material is laid directly on the geogrid, the grains of the backfill material fully interlock with the openings of the geogrid. FORTEX GG geogrids form integrity with the backfill material by assuring that such tension is compensated within the meshes. Therefore, the tensile stress and the shear stress to act on the soil are compensated by geogrid, thus forming a reinforced platform.
FORTEX GG bidirectional geogrids;
- Enables application of the backfill layer to be laid on poor bearing soil with thinner thickness.
- Forms a platform with the backfill formed on poor bearing soils and prevents different subsidence.
- Improves load bearing capacity of the soil by being applied on poor bearing soils in the form of layers.
- Reduces the amount of excavation required for excavating the existing poor soil.
- Are durable, serviceable, reliable and cost-efficient and are resistant to seismic and dynamic loads.

FORTEX GG is manufactured as rolls with maximum 6 m width and generally 100 m length. Each roll is shipped in packaging as protected against UV effects.
If the rolls are to be stacked up on top of each other, it is recommended to stack up to maximum 6 rows and, the width of the rolls (up to 2 m) are shorter, then it is recommended to load and store the rolls in upright position.
