Heat transfer fluids are used as heat carriers in many applications. Examples of use of heat-transfer fluids include the removal or exchange of excess heat from stationary and internal combustion engines.
In all of these applications the thermal conductivity or heat capacity to be transferred fluid are important parameters in the development of energy-efficient heat transfer equipment. To improve the total efficiency of their equipment, industries have a strong need to develop heat transfer fluids using solids and in particular metals that increase the thermal conductivity of an order of magnitude. Therefore, the thermal conductivity of fluids that contains suspended solids, and in particular metallic particles would be expected to be significantly enhanced when compared with conventional fluids.
TCT srl has deeply investigated in the nanotechnology and characterization of the nano-fluid in terms of thermodynamic properties and heat transfer efficiency improvement for Marine Diesel Engine Application.
What we are looking for:
TCT srl is interested in investigation about the engine cooling using the nano-fluid as coolant in marine diesel engine.
The nano-fluid due to his higher thermal conductivity coefficient might have the following benefits if put into the engine cooling system :
Reduce the thermal stress and increase the reliability of the hot parts of the engine in terms of cylinder liner, exhaust valve.
Development of a cheaper heat exchanger keeping the same performance in terms of heat transfer.
Reduce the thermal stress of the lube oil on top of the cylinder liner
TCT is looking forwards to partners in Research or in Service area from marine industry that are interested to use the nanofluid in marine diesel engine to improve the heat transfer efficiency of the cooling system.
